A person who did not bath for last 60 years???

Amou Haji
Amou Haji

We are born and brought with instructions that “Cleanliness is Godliness”. Taking bath daily, washing hands, brushing teeth etc are the standard chores of any civilized person.

We feel uneasy if we miss our daily cleaning routine for any pressing reasons. But here we have a man named “Amou Haji” who has not taken bath in last 60 years.

Shocking, but true!

Last time Amou Haji took bath in 1954. He is a 80 years old man from Iran. It is not that he is doing it to save money. Read below to get more on this.

Here are his few photos that can make you realize what can happen to human body if we try to be such a man.

For the lifestyle that the person has chosen, his plea is that he wants to be close to mother earth. And for that matter, he is. He lives in open, does not drink and water or take clean food. Loves to eat dead porcupine and smokes a pipe that is loaded with animal feces.

The real reason for such a bizarre living is that Amou Haji had passed through traumatic incidents in his early life, and so he chose isolated life. If you try to offer him a good bath, he may run away as he feels that getting clean will make him sick.

green tea
Dried Green Tea

Green Tea, grown originally in India and China, has been used as a health drink all over the world for centuries. It has become popular in the US during recent times only. After water, most people drink tea of which 80% is black tea, and 20% is green tea.

Green tea is said to be the healthiest of all kinds of beverages available in this world. The large amount of nutrients and anti-oxidants contained in it acts powerfully on the human body by improving the functions of the brain, reducing excess fat, lowering the risk of getting cancer and many other excellent beneficial uses.

5 Benefits of Green Tea to the human body are...

  • Increases your Smartness and Enhances Thought processes…

The caffeine is the key ingredient in green tea which acts actively as a stimulant to keep you awake and think clearly. Though the amount of caffeine in a cup of green tea is lesser than that in a cup of coffee, it stimulates your brain without causing any jitter which is typical of having large amounts of caffeine.

Green tea also contains an amino acid called L-theanine which reduces anxiety. The synergy of L-theanine and small amounts of caffeine is a potent mixture as far the brain is concerned and produces a “buzz” that is different from coffee. Many persons feel that they can work more with a stable energy level when they drink green tea instead of coffee.

  • Burns Fat and Enhances Physical Activity…

A list of supplements required for burning fat will always contain green tea as tests have proven that it boosts the rate of metabolism and burns excess fat. During a study on 10 men in good health, it was found that there was a 4 percent increase in energy while another study showed that there was a 17 percent increase in the oxidation of fat though the increase in the rate of metabolism may vary from person to person.

  • Reduces the chances of different types of Cancer…

Cancer of the breast is very common in women, and the risk of having this disease is reduced by 22% in women who drink green tea regularly.

Cancer of the prostate is most common in men and studies have shown that the risk of having this disease get reduced by 48% in men who drink green tea regularly.

  • Protection from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases…

Green tea can enhance the functions of your brain for short duration as well keep your brain agile in your old age. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases are the two most common conditions that cause the degeneration of the neurons in the brain. The former disease leads to dementia and the latter destroys the neurons which produce Dopamine in the brain.

Experiments done on animals has proven that the substances containing catechins in green tea can protect the neurons in the brain from degenerating and thus decreasing the chance of diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

  • Reduces risk of Type–2 Diabetes…

green tea

Type–2 Diabetes is a disease which has become an epidemic by affecting almost 300 million persons all over the world. Reason being high levels of sugar in the blood due to the inability of the body to produce insulin to bring down this level.

  • Though some people disagree, green tea has been found to burn fat and increase the rate of metabolism for short periods of time in many cases.
  • Drinking green tea can provide protection against various types of cancers due to its anti-oxidant properties.
  • Green tea reduces the risk of diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
  • Sugar levels in the blood can be slightly reduced by having green tea, and it can reduce the chances of developing Type–2 Diabetes also.

Costliest Cities in the World...

costliest cities

The lifestyle and the cost of items required for daily use are the indexes which determine which is the most costly city in the world. In other words the standard of living in these expensive cities is very high compared to others which sets them apart. The main items that can be considered for evaluating the standard of living in these cities include transport, food and drink, cost of residences, rent of residential apartments, clothing and utility charges.

The cost of living in these cities is also dependant on the fluctuations of various currencies of each country in relation to the major currencies of the world and price changes that takes place in these countries which affect the economy.

Some of the most expensive cities in the world at present are given below...

  • Singapore...

costliest cities

This city has dethroned Tokyo, the capital city of Japan, as the most expensive city in the world to live in. The biggest factor which makes Singapore the most expensive is the cost of transportation. Owning a car is a very costly affair as the price that has to be paid for buying the car is quite steep as it includes a lot of fees.

Cost of transportation is almost three times the cost of transportation prevalent in New York. Furthermore, Singapore is a city-state which does not have any mentionable natural resources. This makes this city dependant on external sources of power and water.

The cost of both these utilities has pushed up the cost of living here. Garments and clothing are also very expensive here.

  • Paris...

costliest cities

After Singapore, France’s capital Paris is the most expensive city in the world to live in. It is also known as the fashion capital. It is very difficult for a person with a modest source of income to live decently in Paris. Whether it is food, housing, clothes, transportation or personal care everything costs much more than what you can get in many other cities. Clothes, books and electronics goods are costly as well as groceries and gas.

The average income is comparatively very low than in US and with the higher cost of living Paris is a quite an expensive place to stay in Europe.

  • Oslo...

costliest cities

Oslo, the capital of Norway, can be ranked as the third most expensive city in the World. Most of the things cost almost twice as much compared to the cost of the same items in New York, e.g. you have to pay almost double the amount for a can of soda in Oslo than when you buy the same can in New York. Only real estate prices are more in New York compared to Oslo.

But as the prices of common items required in day-to-day life is higher in Oslo it is quite expensive to stay in this city whether you are a permanent resident or a frequent visitor. This is true for the whole of Norway whose per capita GDP is one of the highest in the world.

  • Zurich...

    costliest cities

Zurich in Switzerland is the fourth most expensive city in the world. Though taxes here are low compared to other cities, the cost of food, services and insurance are quite high. The average income of a working person is high which increases the purchasing power also. This means that the person is able to buy products made by foreign brands more easily than people in other cities.

Compared to other European countries the prices of all kinds of products and services are high. Clothing and entertainment costs more here as well as does healthcare. Though petrol is cheaper compared to some European cities the cost of owning a car is much higher than in other cities.

  • Sydney...

costliest cities

Sydney is the capital of Australia. House rent in Sydney is quite high which makes this city the fifth most expensive city in the world. Items of daily use like groceries, prices of utilities, expenses required for keeping your mobile operational and things like that produce an expensive picture of this Australian city.

The areas around the beaches and in the central part of Sydney are usually very expensive if you want to set up your accommodation in these areas. Transportation is expensive as the cost of petrol is high here compared to other cities in the world. Basically due to transportation, every other thing also becomes costly.
